What I have to and what I can ?

Boston auto insurance

The insurance can refer to both the damage you cause and the damage, which will be caused by someone else. It can also refer to property damages and to injuries and the death of involved persons. You can even insure the responsibility for damage on borrowed car. Or expenses on lawyers in case of need. Or a car, which is driven by another person, that will cause a damage. However, the insurance can also refer to damages caused in a different way – by natural disasters, hailstorms, robberies or by accidental damage. The costs caused by betrayal of your car – towing – can also be insured.

The obligatory insurance in Boston set by law
You mustn't drive without the insurance. The law explicitly points out, what minimal insurance is necessary. If you drive out without any insurance to Boston roads, you will be in danger not only of a monetary fine up to $5,000 or a suspension of driving license, but also towing of the vehicle, community service or imprisonment for up to 1 year.

When it can be found out? Of course in the moment of a traffic accident. Police can uncover this imperfection also during a common control. You always have to prove, that you have paid the insurance.

The range of the obligatory insurance differs state by state. In Massachusetts, so also in Boston, it's sequentially:

Every car registered in Massachusetts has to have insured:

- Bodily injury to others – Recompense for detriment caused by your car to other persons, whether a driver of second car or a passer-by is concerned.
- Personal injury protection (PIP) – This part of the insurance includes medical expenses. You are certain to be taken care of in case of a traffic accident, in which you’ll be injured. The insurance also refers to your co-drivers.
- Bodily injury caused by an uninsured car – It can happen, that a car of a driver, who will cause a traffic accident, will be uninsured. Then the obligatory insurance will help you to get over the damage. It will pay you off the amount, which should be paid off by the culprit, and you don't have to take care of the exaction of this amount any more.
- Damage to someone else's property (liability insurance) – The obligatory insurance also anticipate the situation, in which you’ll become the culprit of a traffic accident. The damage, which you caused to the others, is then paid from your insurance.

The optional premium
You can pay extra for an expansion of the obligatory insurance. Further, it's also possible to buy comprehensive insurance, which will help you in the situation, when your car is stolen, destroyed or damaged by vandals and suchlike. The situation, when towing or some reparation of your car is needed, also can be insured. In the case of serious injury, which will confine you to bed, the insurance can cover also lost wages.
